As a software development company with a rich history in working on commercial and free software, SCAND has been an active supporter and contributor to the Open Source community. Recently some of our work was committed to the core of a data visualization tool Grafana.
Grafana is a very useful DevOps tool that creates beautiful and highly customizable tables and graphs. We find it to be a very handy solution that we use to build monitoring systems for our clients. We are often working with the new data sources, previously not covered by this information visualization tool. This includes custom hardware equipment and high-level metrics from virtual machines.
Our team was working on the project that required the creation of mapping lists that help to convert IDs into user-friendly texts and vice versa. This was a highly demanded feature by the community of this graphs and tables tool and by our client as well. The commit was developed by our team and added to the system on March 5th 2018.
We are proud to be a part of the Open Source community and will keep contributing to Grafana and other tools we are working with. SCAND welcomes any proposals on contributing to free software, if you think you have an interesting project – please drop us a few lines below.
