Client-server application based on Force.com platform to gather the information about potential customers

Challenge

SCAND received a task to develop a client-server application based on Force.com platform and use Android devices as client-side hardware. The application is used to gather the information about potential customers and process the data once it is synchronized with Salesforce.

  • Interactive map to analyze the effectiveness of managers’ performance.

Approach

During the development process, SCAND team decided to integrate the call-center into the system in order to handle calls from potential customers as well as perform outgoing calls. Developers implemented the update queue to collect the information while the device is offline. Once the device goes online, the queue is pushed to the server to update the server DB.

The application uses the following business logic:

Managers collect information about potential customers in crowded places (parks, shopping centers, exhibitions, subways, etc.), using a special application on the tablet (Android), then, all data is synchronized with SalesForce. Based on the information about potential customers, the system generates cold calling leads. All leads are automatically distributed between free operators of the call-center. Operators call up a client and convert cold leads into hot leads, or close them, depending on the results. The conversation is recorded and automatically attached to the lead for the further analysis. After that, the work with potential customers continues according to the business process. Top management has the opportunity to evaluate the performance of each employee at any time, as well as improve the managers’ work.

SCAND developed a LeadControl application that drives marketing to a new level, accelerates, and increases sales volume of a particular company by attracting customers in shopping malls, fairs, shops, etc. In addition, due to the rapid processing of customer information, the marketing goals become more achievable.
