Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Alexander Chernyakevich is the Chief Technology Officer at SCAND, where he plays a key role in shaping the company’s technical direction, product strategy, and development culture.

With over 25 years in the software industry and 13+ years as CTO, Alexander brings deep expertise in creating enterprise-level systems and leading high-performing engineering teams.

He started his career as a software developer, working with Java, ASP, and early web technologies on projects in data management, e-commerce, and PIM. Over the years, he moved through roles in project and program management, gaining experience in application architecture, SaaS platforms, and large-scale business systems.

As CTO, Alexander oversees SCAND’s custom software development and product strategy, including solutions for data transformation and digitalization. He sets up and optimizes development processes across teams, mentors engineering leads, and works closely with clients to adjust technology choices to business goals.

Under his leadership, SCAND has delivered complex, high-value solutions across fintech, e-commerce, and other sectors, using Agile methodologies and scalable architectures. He’s known for building strong, collaborative teams and encouraging innovation at every level.

Outside of project work, Alexander is an active member of the open source community, contributing to shared knowledge and tools that benefit developers worldwide. His passion for technology, mentoring, and continuous improvement drives SCAND’s success and long-term growth.

Technology is only valuable when it truly solves business problems. My focus as CTO is on building strong teams, creating scalable systems, and guiding projects in a way that delivers real impact for clients.
