Challenge
The task was to develop a social network for everyone who likes animals and wants to help zookeepers.
- Connect with animal lovers.
- Possibility to exchange pictures.
- Possibility to exchange messages.
Approach
FunZoo was built using Spring technological stack (IoC, MVC, validation, security, transaction management, testing). Hibernate was used as ORM. This social network solution was installed using a cluster of Tomcat servers with load balancing supported by Apache httpd.
Result
A social network for animal lovers.
The social network provided a place to connect with fellow animal lovers, exchange pictures, messages and coordinate their efforts in order to help the zoos in the area.
