Projects
After logging in into ProSys, there are three frames and control panel above of them visible.
In the left upper frame customer related projects are shown as a hierarchical structure. Clicking on them causes switching between projects and sub-projects. Numbers shown besides projects show number of items unread and total for project.
There are two views for every project displayed. Switching between tabs above the left upper frame it is possible to view project-related messages by projects (tab Projects) and by person (tab People).
Messages
In the right upper frame project-related messages are displayed in a hierarchical order, as threads of communication regarding some subject.
There are 4 different types of messages:
- Jobs
job is a message (marked by an icon with red hammer), that can be sent by customer or project manager as a task of some project. It is possible to specify person responsible for completion of the job. Job can be discussed (messages can be posted as response on it), files can be added to a job. It is possible to enter a date when it must be completed. A report can be set on a job, to report status of its completion. After completion is reported, sender (and only sender) of job should mark it as completed. After job is marked as completed, it disappear from the right upper form.
- Messages (Discussions)
message is used for discussion of some job.
- Reports
reports are used to report completion (or percentage of completion) of corresponding task this report sent to.
- Files
files are messages which main goal is the attached file. In this way ProSys contain all project related documentation located in one place, accessible from Web.
It is recommended to post jobs as the first message in thread.
All messages posted to ProSys are copied by email to all members of group working on desired project.
To post a new message, select project your message is related to and click button New below the Projects frame. New window appear, choose type of your message in combo box above. After the form is filled, click Save to post it to ProSys.
Control Panel
Control panel is supposed to manage appearance displaying of certain types of messages. Toggling buttons Jobs, Messages, Reports and Files you display/hide messages of corresponding type.
Users
There are three different types of users that can access ProSys from browser:
- Developers
can post to ProSys messages, files and reports
- Customers
can post jobs, messages and files
- Managers
can post jobs, messages, files and reports
And a special type - Administrator. Only Administrators can create new projects and manage another users.
Options
Panel Options specifies user related Settings of displaying read/unread messages and completed jobs. We recommend you to set "Display only uncompleted jobs" on.
